The Bangladesh Cricket Board (
BCB) on Sunday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Women's
Asia Cup, set to commence in mid-July.
Tigresses have been struggling recently, having been whitewashed by Australia in two formats and failing to compete against India. With the Asia Cup on the horizon, the BCB has recalled experienced players Rumana Ahmed and Jahanara Alam to bolster the squad for this crucial tournament.
The inclusion of seasoned players like Rumana Ahmed and Jahanara Alam is seen as a strategic move to strengthen the team's chances in the Asia Cup, where they aim to deliver a standout performance.
The Women's Asia Cup will begin on July 19 and conclude on July 28.
