Ethnic woman commits suicide at Porsha

PORSHA, NAOGAON, June 19: An ethnic woman committed suicide by taking poison in Porsha Upazila of the district on Saturday night.

The deceased was identified as Pushni, 60, wife of late Chandra of Taitorh Murulia Village at Tentulia Union in the upazila.    
According to her family sources, she took poison in her sleeping room at night; sensing her poison taking, her sons rescued her and took her to Porsha Upazila Health Complex; but she died there.
Medical Officer of the health complex Dr Tariqul Islam confirmed this matter.

Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Porsha Police Station Shah Alam said, the body was handed over to the family member.
