Two motorcyclists killed in separate road accidents in Bogura

Two motorcyclists were killed in separate road accidents at Ghoga Battala and Banani areas on the Dhaka-Bogura highway in the district on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Alim, 45, son of late Muktar Khan of Bahuli union under Sadar upazila of Sirajganj district, and Sabbir Hossain, 27, son of Shajahan Ali of Ramessharpur village of Gari Dah Model Union of Sherpur upazila, reports BSS.

The accident at Ghora Battala occurred when Abdul Alim was going to Sherpur bus stand area of Bogura riding a motorcycle. When reached the area, a truck hit him from behind around 3pm, leaving him dead on the spot, in-charge of Sherpur Highway Police Camp Syed Abul Hasem said.

In another accident, Sabbir Hossain died on the spot when a truck rammed his motorcycle on the road around 11pm Friday night when he was returning home riding a motorcycle after doing Eid shopping for his two-year-old daughter.

Police seized the two trucks, he added.
