Two killed in Cumilla road accident

Two people were killed after their truck lost control and rammed into a covered van in the Suagazi area of Cumilla Sadar Dakshin upazila on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway at 8:30 am on Saturday.

Md. Ikbal Bahar, Officer-in-charge (OC) of Moinamati Highway Police Station, confirmed the incident.

According to police, the truck was overspending, causing the driver to lose control and crash into the van ahead. Both people in the truck were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have recovered the vehicles involved in the collision along with the bodies.
The identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed, but it is suspected that they are the truck driver and his assistant.
