A three-day agricultural fair was inaugurated on Monday in Moulvibazar's Kulaura upazila.
The Upazila Administration and Agriculture Extension Department organized the fair on the Upazila Agriculture Office premises.
Moulvibazar-2 seat MP Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel inaugurated the fair as the chief guest in the morning.
In the opening speech, MP Nadel said that the people of Sylhet have fallen behind in agriculture and education. Therefore, agricultural technology should be utilized for agricultural development and our next generation should be educated in good education.
Kulaura Upazila Parishad chairman Maulana Fazlul Haque Khan Sahed, Kulaura police OC Md Ali Mahmud, Kulaura Press Club general secretary Khaled Parvez Bakhsh, UP chairman Azizur Rahman Monir, former chairman Atiqur Rahman Atiq and Abdul Malik were present as special guests presided over by upazila additional agriculture officer Billal Hossain.
The fair will continue till June 12. Various types of agricultural products are available in 13 stalls in the fair.
