Indian bowlers led by Jasprit Bumrah defended a low score of 120 as Pakistan suffered a collapse after starting steadily as they fell to a 6-run loss at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Bumrah ran rampant with 3 wickets while Hardik Pandya took 2 with Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh chipping in with a wicket apiece as India snached victory from the jaws of inevitable defeat.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan started the Men in Green’s run chase swimmingly before Jasprit Bumrah sent back the captain for 13 with the Pakistan going 26/1 after 5 overs.

Usman Khan and Fakhar Zaman would both score 13 each as well as Pakistan suffered a wobble in the run chase. To make it worse, Rizwan was cleaned up by Bumrah for 31 while Shadab Khan fell to Hardik Pandya for 4 with Pakistan losing 5 wickets before even crossing 100.

Earlier, India scored its lowest ever total against Pakistan when they slumped to 119. In a high voltage clash which saw the match delayed significantly due to rain, India lost both veteran openers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli inside the powerplay.

Rohit, who had hit Shaheen Shah Afridi for a six in the very first over fell to the bowler in the 3rd over as he holed out Haris Rauf in the deep.

Kohli, meanwhile, looked to slap Naseem Khan over point but was ultimately caught by Usman Khan for just 4 in the 2nd over.

Rishab Pant and Axar Patel put on a good partnership before latter departed for 20. After that, India suffered a mini collapse as Suryakumar Yadav,Shivam Dube, Pant and Ravindra Jadeja departed in the space of 7 runs.

Pandya, Bumrah and Arshdeep wouldn’t last long, just helping India to cross the 110-run barrier.
