Madrasah teacher electrocuted in Narayanganj

A madrasah teacher died of electrocution at Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj district on Saturday morning. 

The incident happened at Nagrapara Kaoumi Madrasah in Word No.8 under Sadar municipality in the upazila. 

The deceased was identified as Md Israfil, 40, son of Abdul Baten, was the head teacher of the madrasah.
Family members said Israfil came in contact with a live electric wire while he attempting to start a generator, leaving him critically injured.

Locals rescued him and took him to Araihazar Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctors declared him dead. 

Confirming this information, Ahsan Ullah, officer in-charge of Araihazar Police Station, said the body was handed over to the deceased's family as there were no allegations.
