CHATTOGRAM, May 28: Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) organized a seminar on "Multi-hazard Resilient and Equitable Tomorrows Cities" in the Academic Council room of the university on Tuesday.
CUET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Rafiqul Alam was present as the chief guest.
Prof. Dr. Rafiqul Alam, the chief guest, stated that sustainable development is necessary to create a developed Bangladesh. We need to be prepared for what lies ahead. With engineers, technologists, and meteorologists, we must create an efficient system to address a variety of issues, including climate change.
CUET Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning and Lead Professor of Tomorrows Cities Work Package-2 Dr Md Rashidul Hasan, Director of Institute of River, Harbour and Environmental Science Prof Dr Asiful Haque and Deputy Executive Director of NEST-Nepal and Senior Managing Member of Tomorrows Cities Dr Ramesh Guragain were present on the occasion.
It should be noted that Tomorrows Cities research project is being conducted jointly by CUET, Dhaka University, Chittagong Development Authority and Coxs Bazar Development Authority along with Edinburgh University, UK.
