Two teenage boy were killed in a motorcycle accident in Munshiganj's Sirajdikhan upazila on Wednesday.
The accident took place in the afternoon in Chhatiantali bus stand area under Kola Union.
The deceased were Mahbub Alam Nayan, 16, son of Alaluddin, of Chatiantali area, and Tuhin, 17, son of Abul Kalam of the same area.
The deceased Tuhin was a student of Class IX at Chhatiantali High School and Nayan was in Class IX of a school in neighboring Srinagar Upazila.
Shah Alam Fakir, grandfather of the deceased Nayan, said, "On Wednesday afternoon, the two friends went out on a motorcycle. At that time, Tuhin was driving the motorcycle and Nayan was pillion on the motorcycle. Later, we got news that they lost control and hit a roadside tree and were seriously injured. Then when they were quickly taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared them dead.''
Sirajdikhan Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mujahidul Islam confirmed the news.
