The second clash of the three-match T20i series between the touring Bangladesh team and hosts USA is set to be held today at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC) in Houston, Texas.
Bangladesh are confident of turning things around after the upset in the first match.
The match will begin at 9:00 PM (BST).
Bangladeshs top order continued to struggle in the USA as opener Liton Das scored only 14 runs off 15 balls and producing nine dot balls.
Soumya Sarkar scored 20 off 13, skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto three off 11 and Shakib Al Hasan six off 12. They managed to score only 37 runs in the powerplay.
However, Towhid Hridoy, Mahmudullah and Jaker Ali took Bangladesh to a decent total of 153 runs. Hridoy picked up his second T20i fifty, scoring 58 off 47, while Mahmudullah amassed 31 off 22 and Jaker remained unbeaten on nine off five.
Steven Taylor took two wickets for the USA, while Saurabh Netravalkar, Ali Khan and Jasdeep Singh shared one wicket each.
In reply, the USA reached the target losing five wickets and with three balls to spare, thanks to the batting brilliance of Corey Anderson (34 off 25), Harmeet Singh (33 off 13), Andries Gous (23 off 18) and Taylor (28 off 29).
Bangladesh are likely to bring in Tanzid Tamim in place of Liton Das, while Tanzim Sakib might replace Shoriful Islam and Tanvir Islam could be seen in place of Sheikh Mahedi Hasan.
The top orders form remains a big concern despite Shanto assuring that theres nothing to worry about as the batters have been working on their skills.
Hridoy and Mahmudullah will be players to watch for Bangladesh, while Shakib, a champion player, is still looking to regain his form. New Zealand-origin all-rounder Corey Anderson and Jamaica-origin Taylor will be the key players for the USA today.
Based on the previous match experience, PVCC provides assistance to pacers in the early part of the game and the wicket gets better for batting as the match progresses.
The weather forecast predicts light rain with heavy wind in Texas on Tuesday. The toss-winning side may prefer to bowl first to take early advantage of the wicket.
