Mirpur Furniture Eid Festival 2024 opens

On the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha, Mirpur Furniture Eid Festival 2024 has started again like last year. The event was inaugurated on Monday at Mehfil Convention Hall at Shewrapara of the capital.
Salahuddin Mahmud Zahid, Member of Parliament Manikganj 1 and President, Begum Rokeya Sarani Business Cooperative Society was the chief guest at the inauguration of the furniture festival.

K M Aktaruzzaman President, BFEA and Director, FBCCI, Salim H. Rahman, President, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association, Md. Elias Sarkar, Secretary General, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association and A Karim Mazumder, Organizing Secretary, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association attended as special guest.
The program will be chaired by Alhaj Sheikh Abdul Awal, President of the Mirpur Region, Bangladesh Furniture Industry Owners Association.

It has been announced that a large fair will take place in all furniture shops along the road from Agargaon to Mirpur 10, leading up to the night before Eid.

Over 100 companies will participate in the festival and showcase their products in their respective showrooms. The fair will be open daily from 10 am to 8 pm. In celebration of the fair, each furniture showroom will offer special discounts and attractive prizes. Customers will receive one scratch card for every purchase of 20,000 TK, which could win them various prizes.

In this regard, the Chief Guest emphasized the governments efforts to boost the domestic market by discouraging imports of foreign products while simultaneously providing extensive support to traders to enhance exports. It is anticipated that this fair will play a significant role in meeting the demand within the country and facilitating an increase in furniture exports to international markets.
