Police on Tuesday recovered the dead bodies of a woman and two children from a pit of a fallow land at Trishal upazila in Mymensingh district.

The bodies could not be identified as those were mutilated, said a police official.
Locals said they spotted the bodies in Kakarchar Nayapar area in the afternoon and informed police.

On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, said Shamim Hossain, additional superintendent of police.

They assumed that the bodies were buried after killing them nearly a week ago.
