Power of She holds workshop for women entrepreneurship

The SME entrepreneurship workshop on women entrepreneurship, title Pashe Achi was organised by Power of She at Riddhi Gallery in Mirpur-11 in the capital on May 11.

The first day of the two-day workshop was inaugurated by Chanda Mahzabeen, founder of Hal Chhero Na Bandhu and Ishita Sharmin, CEO of Bikray.

A total of six separate sessions on different topics were held in two days.

The mentor in the first session of the first day was Kamrul Mehdi, Head of SME, City Bank, PLC. While addressing, Kamrul described how women entrepreneurs can avail bank loans easily.

He advised entrepreneurs to create business data, entrepreneurs to have trade licenses for their business establishments, bank transactions, pay income tax, take online payments, store product purchase receipts, electricity, water bill receipts, keep CIB clean and do business by setting a vision.

Chanda Mahazabin, founder of Hal Chero Na Bandhu advised new entrepreneurs on how to start a business, how to survive as an entrepreneur, taking online courses, maintaining time and starting a business according to ones financial capabilities.

She highlighted the importance of giving time to children and families of entrepreneurs side by side their business.

Ishita Sharmin, CEO of Bikray, highlighted the importance of women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh in her speech. She Mentioned the qualities that are important for women entrepreneurs.

60 women entrepreneurs and students from various universities participated in the workshop. The program was hosted by Laiva Jannat. On the concluding day of the workshop, on Saturday, Tarana Halim, MP handed over certificates to the trainees.
