The Bangladesh National Cricket Team departed from home on Wednesday night for the USA to participate in a three-match bilateral series against the hosts, followed by the upcoming T20 World Cup.

The team comprises a combination of young talents such as Tawhid Hridoy, Rishad Hossain, Jaker Ali Anik, Tanvir Islam, Tanzid Tamim and Tanzim Sakib, along with the vastly experienced Mahmudullah Riyad and Shakib Al Hasan.

The three matches of the series against the USA are scheduled for May 21, 23 and 25 respectively and will all take place at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC) in Houston, Texas.

Following the bilateral series, the Men in Red and Green will kick off their World Cup campaign.

The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is slated to be held between June 2 and June 29, with West Indies and the USA serving as joint hosts for the event.

Bangladesh will compete in Group D of the 20-nation event alongside Sri Lanka, South Africa, Nepal and the Netherlands.
