Sirajganj Institute of Marine Technology (IMT) organized a seminar on safe immigration and skill development in the institute's conference room on Thursday.
Sirajganj Deputy Commissioner Mir Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman was present as the chief guest in the workshop presided over by IMT Principal Engineer Sirajul Islam.
Sirajganj District Labor and Manpower Department Officer Anwar Hesen, Sirajganj Sadar TTC Principal Anwar Hossain, Sayedabad Union Parishad Chairman Nabidul Islam and Rajapur Union Parishad Chairman Sonia Sabur Akand were present as special guests.
Around 100 representatives including teachers of IMT and officials of various levels, public representatives, officials of various government departments, media, leaders of various labor organizations participated in the day-long workshop from Thursday morning.
In the programme, the concerned persons were invited to go abroad legally through the government after acquiring skills by taking training through various institutions of the government.
