Dhaka-Cumilla Highway needs renovation

Published : Saturday, 20 April, 2024 at 12:00 AM  Count : 239

Dear Sir,

Chandpur-Cumilla highway is one of the busiest roads for traffic in different parts of the country including the capital city.

This road which has been a communication link for several generations, has now become unfit for communication due to lack of maintenance. The broken parts of the road at various places have turned into deep holes.

As a result, drivers and pedestrians have to suffer. During the rainy season, this suffering increases and various accidents occur. Moreover, there are no footpaths on the side of this highway and the width of the road is not satisfactory for smooth movement of vehicles.

So necessary measures should be taken to get rid of this situation quickly.
