Two children drown in Sherpur

NALITABARI, SHERPUR, Apr 16: Two children drowned in a pond in the districts Nalitabari Upazila on Sunday evening.
The deceased were identified as Asia, 6, daughter of Abdul Hye, and Abu Hanifa, 9, son of Sarwar Hossain, residents of Kawakuri Village under the upazila.
It was known that the two children drowned in a pond next to their house while they were playing near its bank.
Later on, family members recovered their bodies from the pond in the evening after searching.
