The Department of Law at North South University (NSU) marked a significant milestone with the conclusion of its 10th Founding Anniversary celebration on February 29, 2024.
The closing ceremony, themed "Honoring the Past and Embracing the Future," was a momentous occasion attended by esteemed guests, faculty members, alumni, and students.
The highlight of the event was the presence of Mr. Justice Obaidul Hassan, Honorable Chief Justice of Bangladesh, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, Mr. Justice Obaidul Hassan extended his heartfelt wishes and congratulations to the Department of Law, North South University, acknowledging its remarkable journey of a decade. He commended NSU LAW for its dedication, success, and numerous achievements over the years, expressing optimism for its future endeavors.
As a gesture of respect and appreciation, Mr. Justice Obaidul Hassan presented the Department of Law with a special gift - all the Published Books of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. This generous token symbolized his recognition of the department's contributions to legal education and its commitment to excellence. The books were formally handed over on March 3, 2024, at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh by Mr. Md. Golam Rabbani, Registrar General, Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and Mr. Mohammad Saifur Rahman, Registrar, Appellate Division, to Barrister Arafat Hosen Khan, Chair of the Department of Law, North South University.
Barrister Arafat Hosen Khan expressed gratitude on behalf of the department, acknowledging the honor bestowed upon them by Mr. Justice Obaidul Hassan and the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.
