Viqarunnisa teacher, daughter die in Bailey Road fire

The deceased were Lutfun Nahar Karim Lucky and her daughter Jannatin Tajri, who was a former student of the institution.

Golam Mohiuddin identified the bodies of his wife and daughter at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

He said his wife and daughter went to Kacchi Biryani to have their dinner and became the victim of the fire that started from the restaurant.

Meanwhile, Acting Principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Keka Roy Chowdhury expressed deep shock and sorrow at the untimely death of the school's teacher and former student.

At least 46 people were killed, and over 20 others sustained severe injuries by a devastating fire on Thursday night.
