Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim passed the order on Thursday rejecting his bail prayer.

Lalbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector Faiyaz Hossain, also the Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, produced the accused-teacher, Murad Hossain before the court after a two remand.

The IO said in his remand back report that he got important information from the accused in this regard. The IO prayed to the court to put him in jail until the investigation was completed.

On Tuesday another Dhaka court sent him to police custody for two days.

Lalbagh police arrested the accused Murad, a science teacher of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College Azimpur Branch from his Kalabagan residence on Monday midnight.

Earlier in the day, the school authority suspended him after their internal investigation found the accusations true.

The victims parents on Monday filed the case with the Lalbagh Police Station. Other students also filed complaints with the school against the teacher.

Following three complaints submitted to the school against Murad, a probe committee was formed and the school attached Murad to the principals office on Saturday.

Protesting the withdrawal decision the following day, the students and their guardians started a protest on the school campus, demanding exemplary punishment of the accused.

The guardians also held a press conference at the National Press Club the same day, demanding that the accused teacher be sacked.

The senior mathematics teacher has worked in the schools Azimpur branch since 2010.

Meanwhile our correspondent quoting police say they have found evidence of sexual harassment after quizzing Murad Hossain Sarker in custody.

K Mahid Uddin, an Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, revealed the findings of the investigation at a press conference after the end of a two-day remand of Murad on Thursday. He said police seized Murads laptop and mobile phone for forensic tests.

Asked what they found in the interrogation, Mahid Uddin said the daughter of the plaintiff is a student of Class VIII and the incidents occurred when she was in Class VII.

Murad used to crack dirty jokes while giving lessons to the girl and other students at his private coaching centre, according to the police officer.

The girl was a dancer at the school and Murad often told her that he sees her video before going to sleep, Mahid Uddin said. "Police have found initial evidence that the girl was sexually harassed in November last year," he said.

He added she did not speak up because she was afraid this would bring disrespect to her family and the school would expel her.

Mahid Uddin also said criminal charges do not have time limits. "And this case does not need medical tests.

Investigations into such allegations are based on the circumstances and some other factors. Police are trying to do that."
