Proof of sexual harassment found against Viqarunnisa teacher

Proof of sexual harassment of female students have been found against Murad Hossain Sarkar, a senior teacher of Azimpur branch of the city's Viqarunnisa Noon School.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) additional commissioner K. Mohiduddin revealed it while addressing a press conference at the DMP Media Centre in the capital on Thursday (February 29).

The police official said they found some audio and video clips seizing the mobile phone and laptops of the accused. The accused submitted a statement to the court confessing his crime under Section 22 of Criminal Procedure (CrPC).
 
Earlier on Thursday, a Dhaka court sent Murad Hossain Sarkar to jail in the case filed over sexual harassment of a student of the school.
 
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Jasim passed the order as police produced him before the court by Lalbagh police's sub-inspector Faiyyaz Hossain in the afternoon after the end of his two-day remand in the case.
