A man reportedly killed his teenage daughter in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur Thursday afternoon.
The deceased was Yasmin Akhter, 14, daughter of Mohammed Bulu Mandal.
Police and local sources said Yasmin was trying to stop her parents from quarreling and out of anger Bulu Mandal, stabbed her with a knife.
Then Bulu tried to commit suicide using that knife, leaving him critically injured.
Both of them were promptly taken to
Abul Fazal Mohammad Nasim, officer-in-charge of the station, said
no one has been arrested yet in this connection.
