Chattogram Challengers secured a playoff spot by defeating Khulna Tigers by 65 runs in Tuesdays Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, powered by Tanzid Tamims outstanding century.

CCs won the toss and chose to bat first, but lost opener Muhammad Waseem in the second over after he scored just one run.

Tanzid Tamim then stabilized the innings with a 56-run partnership alongside Shykat Ali. Ali contributed 18 runs before departing. Tamim displayed superb form, smashing a sensational century, scoring 116 runs off just 65 balls, including eight boundaries and as many sixes.

Bruce, meanwhile, scored 36 off 23 deliveries, but the rest of the batters failed to contribute significantly in the slog overs and CCs fell short of crossing the 200-run mark, finishing on 192 for four.

Wayne Parnell, Nasum Ahmed, Jason Holder and Mukidul Islam Mugdha claimed one wicket each for the Tigers.

In pursuit of 193 runs for victory, the Tigers stumbled early losing Parvez Hossain Emon for just six runs. Skipper Anamul Haque Bijoy and Caribbean batter Shai Hope attempted to rebuild the innings, but Bijoy fell for 35 and Hope for 31. Among the remaining batters, only Jason Holder managed to reach double figures with 18 runs as the Tigers were bowled out for 127 runs in the penultimate delivery of the game.
