Nowadays, we live in such an environment where competition exists in every step of our life. There is competition in jobs, in education, even in personal life. In this situation, if the learners want to survive, they must engage themselves in some practical learning, alongside the bookish learning.
And if we consider practical learning, voluntary activities can be an effective and fruitful addition. For example, the contributions of different clubs in different universities can be considered. These clubs are all about voluntary works most of the time. For example, if a programme is organized, volunteers are required. If there is the need to collect money or blood for a patient, there needs a volunteer. Students have a blind notion of getting a good CGPA and doing a job. CGPA matters of course.
One can simply have the extracurricular activities all the time and avoid the necessity of having a good result---things shouldn be like these. But theres also the fact one can balance ones own result with some practical or voluntary activities. This will not only increase their preferences in job sectors but also in the real life to a greater extent.
The students or learners in developed countries are more likely to do voluntary works. It is a hope for Bangladesh that the young people are getting more and more engaged in these types of activities. If things go like this, it can be hoped that Bangladesh will face a greater change in the overall environment, in a good way of course!
