Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Joint Commissioner (Crime) Liton Kumar Saha disclosed this while responding to a question from journalists at the DMP Media Centre in the capital on Saturday.

The official said police only arrested the warranted accused. He said if any accused joins the BNPs programme, police will arrest him. They have taken preparation in this regard.

In response to another question DMP Joint Commissioner said, "Political parties are always carrying out their programmes. We are not obstructing any political programme."

Meanwhile, BNP held a black flag procession from the partys Naya Paltan central office in the capital on Saturday afternoon demanding party Chairperson Khaleda Zias release and dissolution of the current parliament.

The procession ended at Mogbazar intersection via Kakrail and Malibag intersections.
