
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said on Thursday that the government used courts at night to send BNP leaders and activists and all democracy minded people to jails.
Speaking at a press conference at BNPs Naya Paltan office he said, "The government is destroying the education system of Bangladesh in a planned manner by introducing anti-national curriculum."
"After the failure of the governments so called creative education system, the government is now out to limit science education, by introducing curriculum of a foreign country," said Rizvi.
He said that introduction of electronic device based education by the government will increase criminal activities among children.
Rizvi said online use has been expanded in the curriculum, but online education is not perfect at all levels.
He said a drastic shrinkage in science education is visible in the new education curriculum and voiced concern that the removal of pure sciences such as physics, chemistry and biology from the secondary level will hinder developing science-minded generation.
He said that Bangladesh will fail to develop manpower skilled in science, technology and medical science of global standards if the new curriculum is implemented.
Rizvi said that due to repeated failure of the investigation agencies to submit probe report on the sensational murder case of journalist couple Sagar-Runi, the schedule of submission of the probe report in the court has been extended for 105th time."
He said that, seven activists of the BNP were arrested across the country, two cases were filed and more than 150 accused were charged in four days. People who are blind by birth are also being accused in explosive substance cases."
Rizvi said, "By snatching human rights Awami League government sent political detainees to jails beyond their capacity.
Denied bails, thousands of BNP and opposition party leaders are spending life in jails in subhuman conditions, he said Rizvi said that, law enforcement agencies were arresting and sending BNP leaders and activists to jails on fabricated charges.
Rizvi said: "Hasan Mahmud has been appointed as Foreign Minister for his ability to make weird comments."
