Verdict on Viqarunnisa Noon teachers deferred

A Dhaka court deferred the judgement date in a case filed against two former teachers of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College for allegedly instigating one of their students Aritri Adhikary to commit suicide.

Sunday was fixed for pronouncing the judgement in the case but it was not ready to deliver.

Judge Abdullah Al Mamun of Dhaka 12th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court fixed on February 8 for delivering the judgement.

The two accused are - former acting principal of the school Nazneen Ferdous and morning shift in-charge of the schools Bailey Road branch Zinat Akhtar.

Aritri was found hanging from a ceiling fan at  her residence in the capitals Shantinagar area on December 3, 2018, hours after she and her parents were allegedly insulted by the teachers.

Aritris father Dilip Adhikary on December 4 in 2018 filed the case with the Paltan Police Station against the three teachers.
