Bangladesh reports zero dengue death in 24hrs

Zero dengue death was recorded in the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.


According to the Directorate General of Health Services, during the period, 59 new patients were hospitalized, taking the number of infections this year to 544 .
Of the new patients, 18 admitted to hospitals in Dhaka, while 41 in outside the capital.

The death toll from the mosquito-borne virus remained unchanged this year at four after the worst outbreak in the country’s history in 2023.

Last year, a total of 321,179 people were hospitalisations and 1,705 died from the viral disease.

Of the 366 dengue patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country in the morning, 185 were in Dhaka and 181 outside the capital.
