Natore independent candidate's election camp set on fire

An election camp of an independent candidate, Asif Abdullah bin Quddus Shobhan of truck symbol in Natore-4 constituency, was reportedly set ablaze by miscreants on Friday.

The arson took place in Haroa area of Ward No-7 under Banpara Municipality early in the morning.
Banpara Police Investigation Center in-charge Sirajul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said that after an election meeting, on Thursday (January 4) night, the supporters of the independent candidate returned home. Later, in the morning, miscreants set fire to the election camp. The fire burnt the table-chairs along with the camp awning. Then, supporters of the independent candidate reported the incident to the police. On information, the police visited the spot and collected evidence.

The police officer also said that legal action is being taken in the incident.
