Miscreants set
fire to a parked bus at Jurain area under Shyampur Police Station in the capital on Sunday afternoon, during the latest countrywide
blockade of road, rail and waterways called by the
BNP and like-minded opposition parties.
The 'Raida Paribahan' bus was set on fire at around 2.30pm at Khondokar Road area in the capital's Jurain.
On information, two firefighting units from Postogola Fire Station rushed to the spot and doused the blaze, said Lima Khanom, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
According to witnesses, some unidentified miscreants set fire to the vehicle when it was parked beside the road.
However, no casualties were reported in this incident, added the duty officer Lima Khanom.
