Woman held with 10kg hemp in Dinajpur

Police in a drive arrested a woman drug peddler along with 10 kilograms of hemp from Nawabganj upazila in Dinajpur district on Friday evening.

The arrested is Noor Bhanu, 45, a resident of Satani Jamira village under the upazila.

Nawabagnj Police Station officer-in-charge Tawhidul Islam said based on secret information, a team of police, led by SI Sohel Rana, conducted a raid in one Rejaul Karim's house in the village and arrested the woman along with the drugs.

A case was filed with the police station against her under Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
