A Dhaka court has sentenced 11 activists of BNP to two and a half year imprisonment in sabotage case filed with the Bhatara Police Station in 2018.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin passed the verdict on Sunday. The court also fined the convicts Tk 10,000 each, in default, to serve three more months in jail.
The convicts are—Md Ataul Rahaman, Helal Dali, Lalon Bepari, Babul Sheikh, Mofizur Rahman, Kazi Hazrat Ali, Md Zakir Hosen Bepari, Md Zakir Hosen Bagmar, Md Ershad Ali Khan, Md Moijul Islam Dorji, Md Ali Mia.
Police filed a case over sabotage activities occurred in Bhatara area on September, 2018. After investigation police filed a charge sheet against 12 accused .
