12 injured as bus falls into ditch in Manikganj

At least 12 passengers were injured as a bus fell into a ditch at Saturia upazila in Manikganj district on Friday.

This accident occurred around 12.00pm on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Dotra area of the upazila.

Quoting locals, Golra Highway Police Station officer-in-charge Sukendu Basu said a Paturia-bound bus of Padma Line lost control and fell into a ditch, leaving 12 passengers injured.

Of the injured, Al Amin Hossain and Sajag, students of North Pacific International University of Bangladesh (NPIUB), were admitted to Savar Gonoshasthaya Kendra.

"Eight of the injured were treated at Manikganj District Hospital," he said.

A case was filed in Saturia Police Station in this regard, added the OC.
