Rajshahi Metropolitan Police have detained six individuals along with 550 pieces of taped tablets from separate places.
They were arrested on Sunday night in an operation conducted in Rajpara, Kashiadanga, and Boaliya areas of the city by Detective Branch (DB) of the Metropolitan Police. At that time, an auto-rickshaw used for drug transportation was seized.
According to police, acting on a tip-off, a team led by Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) AR Khan, Assistant Police Commissioner Arzina Khatoon, and SI Sharifur Rayhan conducted an anti-drug drive in the city and arrested them along with the drug.
Legal action has been taken against the arrested under the Narcotics Control Act, said the police officials.
