BRTC bus set ablaze in Mirpur

Miscreants set a BRTC double decker bus on fire in Dhaka's Mirpur area on Monday afternoon during the second day 48-hours hartal called by BNP, Jamaat and like-minded opposition parties.

The incident took place at around 2.30pm in Mirpur-10.
Being informed, two firefighting units rushed to the spot around 2:35pm and doused the flame within 10 minutes, said Shahjahan Sardar, senior station officer of Mirpur Fire Station.

The unidentified miscreants set the fire on the upper deck of the bus, however, no casualties were reported in this incident, he added.
