Police in a drive arrested two alleged
drug peddlers along with 3,000
Yaba pills at Goalanda upazila in
Rajbari district on Wednesday afternoon.
The arrested are Md Suruj Bepari, 40, hailed from Shibchar upazila in Madaripur district, and Yusuf Bepari, 28, from Faridpur Sadar upazila.
Goalanda Ghat Police Station officer-in-charge Swapan Kumar Majumder said acting on a tip-off, a team of police set a checkpost on the Dhaka-Khulna highway and arrested the duo along with the drugs.
A case was filed with the police station against them under Narcotics Control Act, the OC added.
