Bangladesh cricket has been facing various dramas since the day before the World Cup team announcement. It has been started after Tamim Iqbal expressed his desire to play in the World Cup with conditions.
However, skipper Shakib Al Hasan does not want to keep any unfit player in the team.
In such a situation, the Bangladesh squad for the World Cup will be announced after some time on Tuesday. Just before that, former captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza was seen coming out of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) office after joining a meeting with its president Nazmul Hasan Papon.
Mashrafe entered the BCB office at around 2 pm. After thirty minutes, President Nazmul Hasan Papon went it the office. Mashrafe was seen talking to the two selectors Abdur Razzak and Habibul Bashar Sumon.
It is assumed that Mashrafe appeared in the BCB office on the issue of Shakib-Tamim.
BCB sources said captain Shakib does not agree with the conditions proposed by Tamim. Shakib and coach Chandika Hathurusingha said the BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon at a meeting held on Monday night that they do not want any unfit player on a such big stage like the World Cup even if it is any experienced name like Tamim.
