Police in a drive arrested a woman along with 10,000
Yaba pills from Hajiganj upazila of
Chandpur district on Monday evening,
The arrested is Nasrin Begum, 25, a resident of Toragar village under Hajiganj municipality.
Police said acting on a tip-off, a team of police led by SI Md Najim Uddin and Md Nurul Alam conducted a raid in one Abu Mistri's house and arrested the woman along with the drugs. After sensing the presence of the law enforcers, Abu Mistri escaped from the scene.
Hajiganj Police Station officer-in-charge Muhammad Abdur Rashid said a case was filed with the police station accusing three persons under Narcotics Control Act.
Investigations are on to arrest two other accused, the OC added.
