Fourteen more dengue patients died and 2,865 people with the fever were admitted to different hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Of the 14 deaths, six were reported in Dhaka and eight were outside the capital, according to data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
It said the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease now rose to 893 this year, making this the deadliest year since the first recorded epidemic in 2000.
The total number of cases stands at 1,84,717 this year.
Among the new patients, 814 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and 2,052 were in different hospitals outside it.
A total of 1,73,252 patients have so far been released from hospitals across the country this year.
The country recorded 281 dengue deaths in 2022 following 179 casualties in 2019.
Additionally, the DGHS recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries last year.
