Body parts found in luggage: Wife, son held in Ctg
Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has unearth the mystery behind the killing of man, whose body parts were recovered from a luggage Patenga area of Chattogram on Thursday night.
PBI Chattogram metropolitan zone inspector Mohiuddin Selim on Saturday said they have identified the man through his fingerprint.
The deceased was Md Hasan, 58, son of Sahab Miah of Boraitali area under Kathariya union of Banshkhalil upazila in the district.
The official said they also detained the victim’s wife Chhenowara Begum and son Mostafiz in this connection. After the arrest, they came to know about the reason behind the murder.
The official revealed that Hasan had no connection with his family over the last 30 years. He returned to his family one year ago. The dispute initiated among the family members after that over sharing victim’s huge property.
According to a pre-plan, Chhenowar Begum and his two sons strangled Hasan to death and chopped the body into nine pieces on Thursday night. They put eight pieces except the head in a luggage and dumped it into the bush of a canal and the head in another place, PBI official Mohiuddin said.
They continued their drive to arrest another son of the victim.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body parts of the man inside the luggage in Patenga area on Friday and sent it to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) for autopsy.
