A garment worker was killed when a bus ran over him on Dhaka-Tangail highway at Naujor in Gazipur city on Saturday morning.
The deceased Musa Sheikh, 28, was a worker of M and J Genesis Fashions Ltd factory and son of Majid Mandal of Sirajganj district.
Abu Siddique, officer-in-charge of Basan Police Station, said that the accident took place at about 7am when the bus of ‘Takwa Pariban’ hit Musa while he was going to his workplace, leaving him dead on the spot. Police recovered the body.
Police also arrested the bus driver and seized the vehicle.
