Woman crushed under train in Natore

A woman was crushed under the wheels of a train at Sadar upazila in Natore district on Monday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Eyewitnesses said a Rajshahi-bound train ran her over at the platform of Natore Railway Station around 11:00 am while the woman was wandering around it, leaving her dead on the spot.

Notore Railway Station master Rezaul Karim said the body was removed from the railway track. They informed Santahar Railway Police Station in this regard.

Santahar Railway Police Station officer in-charge Md Muktar Hossain said a team of the police station was sent to the spot.

Legal steps in this regard are under process, the OC added.
