4,53,000 families to get 10 kg VGF rice each in Kishoreganj

The government will give 10 kg of free rice to 4,53, 364 poor families each under the VGF (Vulnerable Group Feeding) programme on the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha.

On this occasion, the distribution program is starting in 13 upazilas and eight municipalities in Kishoreganj.

Kishoreganj relief and rehabilitation officer Lutfur Rahman said 306.340 metric tons rice for Itna upazila, 250.700 metric tons for Mithamain, 294.410 metric tons for Ashtagram, 244.530 metric tons for Tarail, 235.240 metric tons for Nikli, 448.540 metric tons for Karimganj, 293.320 metric tons for Hossainpur, 501.870 metric tons for Katiadi, 155.580 metric tons for Bhairab, 352.460 metric tons for Bajitpur, 350.900 metric tons for Pakundia, 278.300 for Kuliarchar and 559.580 metric tons for Kishoreganj sadar upazila have been allocated.

Meanwhile, among the eight municipalities, Kishoreganj and Bhairab municipalities have been provided 46.210 metric tons each, Bajitpur, Karimganj, Kuliarchar, Hossainpur and Katiyadi municipalities have been allocated 30.810 metric tons each, and 15.400 metric tons for Pakundia municipality.
