As Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) did not allow Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami to hold today's protest rally in the capital, the party postponed the programme.

It will hold the programme on Saturday (June 10).

Jamaat's central leader Motiur Rahman Akand announced the new date at a press briefing on Monday.
The party will bring out protest procession on June 10 in Dhaka and also hold rally at 2pm in front of the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, Motiur Rahman said.

Leaders said as the DMP did not allow them to hold the rally today citing working days, they will hold the programme on holiday (Saturday).
