Metro rail to run till 8pm from today

Taking the sufferings of commuters into account, the metro rail will be operated from 8:00am to 8:00pm from today (Wednesday).

According to the new schedule, metro rail will run between Uttara and Agargaon stations.
At the same time, the metro rail will remain closed on Friday instead of Tuesday as a weekly holiday.

The Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) public relations officer Nazmul Hossain stated it on Wednesday.

The schedule will remain effective from Uttara's North Station to Agargaon Station.

As per the new time-table, the trains will run every 10 minutes from 8:00am to 11:00pm (peak hours), every 15 minutes from 11:01am to 3:00pm (off-peak hours), every 10 minutes from 3:01pm to 6:00pm (peak hours), and every 15 minutes from 6:01pm to 8:00pm (off-peak hours).

The second phase of metro rail is scheduled to be launched from Agargaon to Motijheel at the end of the year, while the extension from Motijheel to Kamlapur will be opened in 2025.
