One dies as truck hits his motorcycle in Chuadanga

A motorcycle rider was killed as a truck hit his motorcycle at sadar upazila in Chuadanga district on Tuesday morning.

The dead was Shnati Mia, 37, a resident of Kutubpur of the upazila.

Police said Shanti Mia was going towards Chuadanga riding on her motorcycle in the morning. On the way, a truck from the opposite direction ran over his motorcycle in Chhai Mile area of Chuadanga-Jhenaidah regional road at around 8 am, leaving him injured.
Local people quickly rescued him and rushed to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital where the doctors referred him to Dhaka. Later, he died on the way to Dhaka at 11 am.

Chuadanga Sadar Police Station officer-in-charge Mahabbur Rahman confirmed the matter.
