Poland has highlighted the untapped potential for mutually beneficial cooperation with Bangladesh in areas such as the agri-food sector, mining and energy transformation, green technologies and digitisation.
While congratulating the Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on Independence and National Day of the country, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau hoped that the bilateral political dialogue would resume soon, namely – that another round of consultations at the level of deputy foreign ministers would be held in Warsaw.
The 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Bangladesh, which was celebrated last year, was a convenient opportunity to emphasise the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries, he said in a message sent to Momen.
Referring to the global threats resulting from the Russia-Ukraine war, Zbigniew stressed the importance of cooperation between countries in international organisations, including the UN, to contribute to strengthening international peace and security.
