Momen condoles death of Nur-e-Alam Siddique

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Wednesday expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Nur-e-Alam Siddique, one of the organisers of the War of Liberation and former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League.

In a condolence message, the foreign minister said "Nur-e-Alam, who was a brilliant student leader of the 70's, played a vital role during the War of Independence, reports BSS.

"Even the nation will forever remember his contribution to different movements, including the Six-Point Movement, the Language Movement and the struggle for independence of the country", he added.

Dr Momen also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury also expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Nur-e-Alam Siddique, one of the leaders of all parties Chhatra Sangram Parishad and former lawmaker of Jhenaidah-2.
