Man held with gold bars worth Tk 1.3 crore in Jashore

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have arrested a man along with 13 gold bars weigh 556 grams worth Tk 1.31 crore from Sharsha upazila of Jashore district on Tuesday morning.

The arrested is Kamruzzaman alias Kamrul, 33.
BGB-21, Commander Lt Col Tanvir Rahman said acting on a tip-off, a team of the battalion conducted a raid in Gazipara area of Goga village of the upazila and arrested the man along with the bars.

Later, the bars have been deposited in Jessore Treasury Branch.

A case was filed with Sharsha Police Station against him and legal steps would be taken in this regard, the official added.
