![]() President asks ACC to ensure prevention of corruption in dev sectors President M Abdul Hamid on Monday asked the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to ensure required efforts to prevent corruption in all development sectors to build Bangladesh as a developed and prosperous country. "Corruption is the main barrier to development and progress . . . Build a social movement against corrupt practices, "the President told the ACC delegation as they submitted the "ACC's Annual Report - 2022" to him at Bangabhaban this evening. Abdul Hamid also directed the ACC, country's anti-graft commission, to ensure that no officer-employee of it is involved in corrupt practices, President's Press Secretary Md Joynal Abedin briefed the newsmen later. ACC Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah led the delegation. ACC Commissioners - Dr Md Mozammel Haque Khan and Md Zahurul Haque - and ACC Secretary Mohammad Mahbub Hossain were present.
